Please stop by the club if you cannot find an answer to your question.
The club is open Monday - Thursday from 6pm to 8pm for recreational and competitive training. The gym is located in the same building as the Maple Ridge Leisure Centre and can be found just left of the main entrance. We believe boxing teaches self reliance, self discipline and a sense of achievement through successfully bettering of personal bests. It teaches balance; what is demonstrated in action must be first recognized in the mind. It is easier to build the boy than to mend the man.
Amateur boxing is nothing like what Hollywood projects, but a well regulated sport with safety a priority, followed by improved personal conduct. To fight competitively, boxers must be 8 years and up. They must have a doctors certificate to start the program. On the day of their competition each competitor must pass a medical exam and the match is continuously monitored by a doctor. Amateur boxers also wear protective equipment, head gear and gloves that must meet international approval.
All members pay a $70 monthly membership fee.
We are all ages from 9 up participating in the Maple Ridge Amateur Boxing Club, both men and women. Registration is open throughout most of the year - anytime is a great time to join!
***Please note we are closed on all Statutory holidays. The club also closes for the month of August and two weeks over Christmas ***
We are open Monday - Thursday 6-8pm at the Maple Ridge Leisure Centre, 2 doors east of the main swimming pool entrance.
Monthly fee is $70/mo.

All boxers must bring their own gear, this includes: wraps, bag gloves, skipping rope, hand towel, water bottle and a mask. Additionally, competitive boxers must bring 16 oz sparring gloves, head gear and a mouth guard.
A typical class consists of cardio, strength, and core training as well as technical boxing skills. Whether you're wanting to get back into shape, are looking for a new challenge, a beginner or experienced boxer, it's a great workout in a safe, respectful, motivating and friendly environment. Our volunteer coaches all used to competitively box with this club over two decades ago, and now give back to the community what they once received when they were athletes. Our club attracts athletes throughout the Lower Mainland, with some of our boxers travelling over an hour one-way just to attend training.
Hope to see you at the club!
